Tiger Pride Student Profile: Gary Pugh (c/o 2019)

Check out the next installment of our new Tiger Pride Student Profiles series. This summer we will highlight students who earned "Student of the Week" recognition from our faculty during the 2017-2018 academic year. Each student of the week was highlighted on our departmental announcement board located on the second floor of Bacoats Hall.

Gary Pugh is a Junior BSW student here at Benedict College. He is a fantastic student who leads both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to his studies, Mr. Pugh is an active member of the Kappa Psi chapter of Phi Alpha (Social Work) Honor Society and the Social Work Club student organizations. Gary earned Student of the Week recognition from our faculty during the fall 2017 semester. Here is the feature we wrote to highlight Mr. Pugh's accomplishment.

The Student of the Week for November 13-20th is Mr. Gary Pugh! Gary is a BSW Sophomore from Columbia, South Carolina. His current GPA is 3.40, and upon graduation he plans to continue to further his education and enroll in a Master of Social Work (MSW) program. Currently, Mr. Pugh works for an Urgent Care Clinic. Gary recently joined several of his peers from the School of Health and Human Services for a trip to the National Alliance of Christian Social Workers Annual Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Pugh is a great role model both inside and outside of the classroom. CONGRATULATIONS, Gary on being selected as Student of the Week! We are proud of you. #BestofBC #TigerPride #SocialWork
