Updated: May 21, 2019

Bright and early on the morning of Saturday, May 11th, nine (9) BSW Seniors completed their final assignment as Benedict College students; walking across the stage at Charles Johnson Stadium to shake President Artis' hand and receive their BSW degrees. One Social Work student, Monet Miller, BSW, had the honor of carrying in the College's mace during the ceremony. She was selected for this role via her leadership as the Senior SGA (Student Government Association) Student Representative.

Additionally, Monet had the honor of introducing the commencement address speaker, Dr. Bobby Donaldson, an acclaimed historian known for his expertise in civil rights history, and Director of the Center for Civil Rights History and Research at the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Donaldson addresses the graduating class.
